PressurePro has added several improvements to their current product line, and will be introducing new products to their Truck line. The improvements have been the addition of RS232 communications as well as an upper pressure alert. The upper alert is variable; it is set at the factory to alert at 24% high, but can be manually set at various settings from 10% to 45% over the set point. In addition to the upper alert, there are two lower alerts: one at 12/5% and a second alert at 25% below the initial set point. All Monitors with RS232 capability can also display temperature when used with a tire management software program.
Soon to be introduced are the “Intellignet Products” and the integration with several leaders in telematics. These allow PressurePro users (drop and hook fleets in particular) the ability to monitor tire pressures on up to 64 tires (a cab and three trailers) at a time, both in cab or remote, while also giving them the ability to easily and quickly drop and grab trailers as needed. The capability to monitor and read tire pressure on trailers, transfer this inforamtion via the trailer/tractor power lines, and read all tire information in the cab or back to an office management system has been asked for in the market for years; PressurePro is the first to bring this advanced system to market at cost effective pricing.
The long-awaited PressurePro motorcycle version (Monitor and two Sensors) is expected to be out in July or August, 2008. Check www.TirePressureMonitor.com for updates.
To clarify the situation going on with Doran and PressurePro, they have been contacted regarding “Breach of Contract” and for “Patent Infringements”. These actions are being taken as a result of their new product that has come out called the Doran 360. They are no longer a Distributor for PressurePro (they never were the manufacturer of PressurePro either).
Doran has come out with their own new system, called Doran 360. They are no longer a Distributor for PressurePro, so they are not selling PressurePro anymore, unless it is just some of their left-over stock. Word has it that they are being sued for Patent Infringement, and Breach of Contract. I would be leary of buying any new product such as this, especially when there are legal issues involved. Fred M.
