L&S Safety Solutions to Showcase PressurePro TPMS Leading Technology at Waste Expo 2010

Wickenburg, AZ USA, February 1, 2010: L&S Safety Solutions (“L&S”) announced today that they are attending the upcoming Waste Expo 2010 taking place May 3rd through May 6th at the Georgia World Congress Center in Atlanta, GA to showcase PressurePro tire pressure monitoring systems (“TPMS”). This show is North America’s largest solid waste and recycling tradeshow and serves both private and public sectors. Advantage PressurePro, a worldwide leader in Tire Pressure Monitoring Systems and Technology, will also be in attendance with L&S, noting that the Expo is a great way to get a better understanding of the waste industry’s need for reliable and durable tire pressure monitoring.

With the constant stop-and-go brake-generated heat challenge of the waste industry’s on-road vehicles as well as the treacherous conditions of their daily off-road exposure, this industry is averaging a tire lifespan of less than 6,000 miles, obviously detrimental to a fleet’s profits. Fortunately, TPMS can help extend this average tire life.

With tire life being a top concern for waste fleets of all types and sizes, PressurePro is looking forward to further educating the market of the numerous benefits that tire pressure monitoring can offer. Interested fleets and drivers in attendance at Waste Expo can find additional information at Booth # 1763. Further information can also be found online at www.TirePressureMonitor.com.

About L&S Safety Solutions LLC.

Tire pressure is one of the most important things in any vehicle to maintain. You get better gas mileage, less wear on your suspension and less wear on your tires when they are inflated correctly. The best part about maintaining your tire pressure is just how easy it is to do. All you have to do is fill them up with air (which is easily manageable without professional help) and you’re good to go. The only thing you have to worry about is when you need to fill your tires with air.

Most people rely on their vision to determine whether or not the tires need inflating. You can sometimes see a bulge on the bottom of the tire which lets you know that your tire is somewhat flat. This is an extremely inaccurate way to measure tire pressure. Some tires are designed differently than others and will show more or less of the bulge. Even when tires aren’t bulging they can oftentimes need more air. The easiest way to keep track of the pressure in your tires is with a PressurePro™ motorcycle tire pressure monitor.

The PressurePro TPMS works by receiving electronic signals from each of your tires which tells the unit what the tire pressure is in each tire. The electronic signal comes from tire sensors which rest on the air intake valve and replace the valve stem caps. Installation of a TPMS is extremely simple. You put the tire sensors on each of the intake valves and then put the main unit (the Monitor) which receives the signal, wherever you want it on the dash. Then you press a few buttons and you can check the pressure of any tire you want—even while riding down the road. This system is great for monitoring tire pressure and maintaining an ideal amount of air in your bike tires as well as the sidecar and/or trailer tires.

The classic way of measuring the air pressure in any tire is with a tire pressure gauge. They are manual pieces of equipment that require you to get down next to your tire, take off the cap of the intake valve and then press the tire gauge onto the valve stem. The gauge then measures the amount of pressure coming out of the tire and the stick pops out showing you what the tire pressure is. It’s a long process and gets tiresome because of how often you need to check your tire pressure. An electronic gauge is really the only convenient and accurate way to keep track of how much air is in your tires. The PressurePro (www.TirePressureMonitor.com) sensors read tire pressure once each 7 seconds and transmit updated readings to the Monitor. Should you have a low-pressure tire, the system alerts you as to which tire, and what the tire pressure is in that tire. PressurePro alerts before the tire goes flat!

The PressurePro Motorcycle TPMS (tire pressure monitoring system) is now available! Bikers have long awaited a reliable TPMS for their bikes, including their side cars/trailers.

PressurePro is a wireless electronic tire pressure monitoring system and is capable of monitoring and displaying current tire pressures on demand, whether stationary or moving. Low pressure is the leading cause of premature tire failure but PressurePro can provide early notice of potential problems. Knowing about a low-pressure tire ahead of time is paramount to averting a flat tire and a subsequent blow-out. Fixing a tire is less time consuming and less costly than buying a new one and/or repairing your bike!

Monitor: Check each tire’s air pressure by pressing a button, even while riding down the road. Can also alert you to low tire pressures; digital readout shows the problem tire location and current tire pressure. Be alerted of low pressure tires before driving becomes unsafe.

The 433.92 MHz FM Monitor can monitor up to 6 wheels and is weather resistant. The Monitor displays each tire’s pressure and can send an audible and visual alert if pressures drop. It automatically dims in low-light or dark conditions and then brightens in conditions of bright light. Includes integral built-in antenna and extended power cord. Pressure range is 10-199 psi. Velcro mounts included.

Monitor Dimensions: 3 3/4?W x 1 1/2?H x 3/4?D

Sensors: Uses standard PressurePro tire Sensors (order separately).

Sensors screw onto the valve stems of your bike’s tires, replacing the valve stem caps. The Sensors transmit a coded RF signal and can alert if pressure drops approximately 12% under the cold running pressure for each tire.

The Tire Industry Safety Council has estimated that 50-80% of the 500+ million tires being used in the USA are underinflated. Under-inflation is the major cause of over-heating and contributes to ply separation, sidewall/tread breakdowns, poor tread life, tire disintegration, premature tire failure, and decreased road safety. PressurePro also helps to increase useful tire life and to save fuel by informing the rider of tire under-inflation.

Additionally, the Department of Transportation estimates that over 37% of all tires in America are under inflated. Low tire pressure is the number one cause of tire failure and contributes to heat buildup, tire disintegration, ply separation and casing/sidewall breakdowns. Increase your average MPG by as much as 3.3% with properly inflated tires. Properly inflated tires last longer; be safer with properly inflated tires.

PressurePro can be used on most pneumatic tires and can also be used on RVs and tows, trucks/trailers, ATVs, autos and commercial vehicles—up to 64 wheels with drop and hook applications.

Testimonials:

The peace of mind that PressurePro provides is priceless. This is one of the greatest products I have ever purchased due to its simplicity and reliability. Every vehicle on the road should be required to have a PressurePro system; it could prevent hundreds of dollars in damage to vehicles and could save lives too! Rod A.

The system is bulletproof! What a joy being able to check your pressures at any time! I am delighted with the system and tell everyone they need one to protect their loved ones too! Thanks! Mike D.

Thanks for a great product! The PressurePro system gives you the information you need to maintain properly inflated tires; also results in providing significant savings as well as safety! Phil R.

The NTSB responded to a fatal motorcoach crash recently by recommending mandatory tire pressure monitoring systems in all motor vehicles weighing more than 10,000 pounds, incuding school buses, and that motorcoach passenger safety be improved. In 2008, a motorcoach crash in Texas killed 17 and injured another 38 which was in part caused by low tire pressure that resulted in the driver losing complete control of the vehicle.

One proposed change to be requested in the 2010 National Congress on School Transportation is that tire pressure checks must be conducted by drivers during the pre- and post-trip walk-around inspections, and that operators be familiar with how tire pressure monitoring systems work, if used; local school districts can require TPMS at their discretion.

A recent Product Update was published announcing the RS232 Truck Monitor which is a communication pathway between electronic products. PressurePro truck Monitors can now be ordered with RS232 communication capabilities. RS232 allows TPMS to be monitored and fed, via RS232 through a GPS type “box” in the vehicle, to an office or remote site. The Monitor can also read directly to a PDA or laptop storing the information or to a tire management system. The system provides an alert if Sensors are removed from the vehicle or if a tire is removed and taken from the vehicle.

With more and more fleets using Data Acquisition and Asset Tracking systems, PressurePro’s communication capabilities fit well as part of a total vehicle and tire management solution. Connecting the RS232 to a customer’s device is easy; Customer Service is available to assist in setting it up. RS232 communicates tire pressure readings and alerts to other products, as well as storing to a PDA or laptop for use with a tire management system.
